Marco Rubio puts politics aside, watches a movie

Up north on Sunday, Sen. Marco Rubio showed up to the G-Star School of the Arts charter school — not for any political purpose at all. The failed GOP presidential candidate came to support his nephew, Miami filmmaker Orlando Cicilia III, whose boxing short Lionheart was being screened as part of the Palm Beach International Film Festival. It stars local actors Marc Macaulay and Oscar DeRosa in the Rocky type drama.


Hmm, why do we have a feeling Donald Trump won’t be catching this flick? 

Wearing a casual shirt and slacks, Rubio posed for selfies for fans and school staffers.

The following night the celebrity du jour was Tony Robbins. The self-help author and inspirational speaker attended the CityPlace screening of Tony Robbins: I Am Not Your Guru. The documentary looks at the Palm Beach resident’s rousing “Date With Destiny” seminars.
